What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" works similarly — it stores key/value data in your browser, not on a server.

What we use

NameStorage typePurposeDurationThird party?
mmp-theme localStorage Stores your light/dark mode choice Until you clear browser data No
mmp-prefs localStorage Stores feed preferences, bookmarks, and read history Until you clear browser data No
mmp-feed-token localStorage Your unique personal feed URL token Until you clear browser data No
mmp-device-id localStorage A random, non-personal identifier used to prevent one device from creating multiple feed subscriptions under different email addresses Until you clear browser data No

We use zero advertising cookies and zero cross-site tracking cookies. The device identifier above is randomly generated, stays on this site only, and is not used to track you across the web. Cloudflare's analytics are cookieless.

Third-party storage

If you subscribe to the newsletter, Brevo may set their own cookies. See the Brevo Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log your IP when serving font files. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

How to manage cookies

You can clear or block localStorage and cookies in your browser settings. Clearing mmp-theme simply means your dark/light preference won't be saved — the site works fine without it. Clearing mmp-device-id means we'll no longer recognise this browser as previously linked to a feed, so a new feed signup from this device will be treated as a fresh subscription.
